Hino Hybrid

Hino Hybrid is Australia's first hybrid truck, and is set to revolutionise the trucking world with its "leaner, meaner, greener" approach. The Diesel-Electric Hybrid engine is at the forefront of technology, offering reductions in emissions and fuel consumption, while still providing great power and torque.
Leaner - Hino Hybrid reduces fuel consumption by up to 39% for urban and city driving (relates to heavy city driving averaging 15 kph)
Meaner - Hino Hybrid offers ideal power and torque with a six speed transmission and 4.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine rated at 100kW, and an additional 36kW of power from the electric motor that runs in parallel.
Greener - Hino Hybrid achieves up to 72% less carbon monoxide emissions, an 87% reduction in particulate matter, and a reduction in nitrogen oxide*. The levels achieved are even better than Euro 5 standards.
*These figures have been compared to a normal Hino 300 diesel truck.
